Yay! Over 10,000 visitors in less then 3 months
I know it's a big NO to post about the status from a blog on the blog itself, BUT: I think it's quite impressive to have over 10,000 visitors in less then 3 months on a personal blog without big efforts. There must be something for people to read many pages per unique visitor and for visitors to keep coming back. (thanks to Google Analytics and 'Count Per Day for Wordpress' for providing me the visitor information)
All in all I'm very happy with the results I could not have dreamed about when I started.
Thanks to everyone for visiting. I look forward to some more interaction with the readers though!
See ya around.
Kind regards,
Robbert
Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2010
Hi All,
I wish you a merry Christmas and all the best for 2010!
In short: do I need to post in English or in Dutch?
Coming soon: SNOM M9 VoIP DECT phone with CATiq and wideband VoIP codecs
OBSOLETE, product is available by now: clickerdeclick
Available from January 2010: the brand new SNOM M9 VoIP DECT phones. (not in US and Canada)
The SNOM M9 is the bigger, better, bolder brother (or sister?) of the SNOM M3. By combining professional functions of versatile business communication with the intuitive features of the mobile-carrier world, the snom m9 is ideally suited for professional and private use alike. With features such as hands free mode, calling line identification (CLI) by displaying name, number and image of the caller as well as typical mobile-phone features such as Address Book, Calendar, Calculator and Alarm function, the snom m9 provides the perfect blend of mobility and accessibility.
The CATiq and wideband VoIP codecs give you HIFI quality sound creating a superior voice quality when used to call other wideband codec voice users (DECT and/or wired). Wideband VoIP codecs will be the standard in the future raising quality for VoIP calls high above what you are used to from PSTN or ISDN on traditional networks (no warranty that the quality of the conversation itself will be improved, that's up to you and the party called/calling)
The SNOM M9 boasts integration possibility with Microsoft™ Office Communications Server 2007 R2 making it the only digital cordless phone in the market to offer this benefit. A further advantage of SNOM M9: the terminal already supports the latest IPv6-standard with its very first release. Such features combined with automatic configuration download make the SNOM M9 a truly unique cordless device. Last but not least, the SNOM M9 incorporates the renowned SIP stack from snom with its decade long proven interoperability and technology leadership.

Looking for open source CRM consulting company (Netherlands)
We have been looking at many CRM systems and have had interviews with consulting companies. They all offer great software and more important: great implementation support. BUT: We did not find conculting companies offering open source CRM yet...
We want to give open source a chance before we make our decision. There are many great open source software packages available but we do need an experienced company to guide the implementation! Installation is not the issue....but we need an expert to help us implement.
Let me know if you are/work for the company that we need via the contact page.
Just updated Roundcube webmail on my QNAP TS-239 pro part of XDOVE
I just updated the standard Roundcube webmail application from the XDOVE qpkg to the latest version! The version that comes with the XDOVE qpkg is version 0.2-stable, I now have version 0.3.1 running
Use the search function (right top of the page) if you want to read more about the XDOVE package.
After creating a back-up from the current install I just followed the very brief but accurate instructions. 10 minutes and DONE! The Roundcube webmail application is consuming much less CPU power compared to the Uebimiau webmail application and 'feels' much faster.
You can find Roundcube here: http://roundcube.net/news
Next I will try some new skins
Interview with me in Computer Business Magazine (CBM), Dutch language
Now in the stores! New CBM with an interview with a VIP: me
The interview is published in their monthly magazine.
The meeting with Lars van Bergen was great fun, he's a nice guy with great interest in our industry.
You can download the Interview_CBM in PDF.
Yay! My blog is exactly 1 month old! :D
Hi All,
29-10-2009 I posted for the first time on my blog!
It's now one month later and I have had 3330 visitors since day 1. It started quite slow with only a few visitors per day. After I optimized my site using search engine friendly links AND installed a plugin that creates a XML sitemap automatically things got moving in the right direction. On average I have 120 unique visitors per day (average over the last week), the number of post views is roughly 280 per day. Not bad considering the type of content I post.
Most popular topics are about:
- Digital China Networks
- QNAP
- TPLINK
- Generic technology
Thanks for stopping by!

Ajax enabled web based file explorer on QNAP: AjaXplorer
Do you own a QNAP? Do you want to be able to manage your files anywhere you go? (you still need to have internet access). Sure you could use FTP.... but now there is AjaXplorer! A neat and easy to install QPKG package from QNAP.
AjaXplorer enables you to manage your files in a webbrowser. AjaXplorer is, what's in a name, AJAX enabled so you get a real file manager look and feel. Next to managing and organising your files you are also able to edit files on-line. It's limited to text based files of course but it will do the trick for, for example, .php and .txt files. (neat for small changes on your web projects)
You can click on the picture above to see a big screenshot.
I have used it for quite some time now and I'm quite happy. No FTP client to install, if you have a browser (and internet access...) you are able to do your thing. (think of those occasions where you will not be able to install anything, or just don't want to)
Update: I did not notice before
but the AjaXplorer also plays MP3 files/folders from within the browser. Great, now I can play my music on any PC anywhere without copying it.
I suggest to go get the package from QNAP and install it on your device. Clickerdiclick (scroll to the bottom of the page for information, the package itself can be downloaded from within the QPKG manager in the admin panel of your QNAP)
Have fun
